It turned out to be a short experiment, but I have given up on trying to use my MacBook Pro with Linux exclusively. So in this episode I essentially reverse the process of installing a T2-patched version of Linux. I show you how to remove the Linux Partition, expand the MacOS partition and then how to clean up the boot loader after Linux has been removed.
I still think Ubuntu Linux on a 2019 MacBook Pro (Intel) is fantastic, but my main use for this machine is as a hypervisor and even though theoretically the KVM should have performed better, it seemed to cook my machine a bit more, no science to this, I just noticed the fans were spinning all the time, whereas using a Type 2 Hypervisor in MacOS (VMWare Fusion) seems to be less resource intensive for the same Virtual Machine. So for me, I’ve decided to give up and use MacOS for now.
