Thanks to OpenCore Legacy Patcher, it can indeed run Sonoma.
This MacMini is a little old and until today, it was just sitting under the TV as my Batocera Retro gaming rig. However, I am so amazed by how well MacOS Sonoma works on this particular piece of old tech that I might promote it to more of a daily computer (more than just retro gaming).
